About

Yellow Ribbon Run 2026

The Yellow Ribbon Run (YRR) brings together communities across Singapore to champion an inclusive society that embraces second chances and takes action to support the reintegration of ex-offenders.

  • Taking part in the YRR is a powerful way for members of the public to demonstrate their solidarity and commitment to breaking down barriers and eliminating social stigma. Every stride taken is a step transforming acceptance into action. With supporters from all walks of life coming together, the run sends a powerful message of hope - that everyone deserves the opportunity to start anew and contribute meaningfully to society.
  • This year marks a milestone as the YRR heads to the city for the very first time. Participants can look forward to a scenic and energising route around the National Stadium, culminating in a vibrant carnival that celebrates hope, acceptance, and second chances. This exciting chapter brings the message of second chances to a wider audience than ever before, extending our reach into the community where reintegration truly takes place.
  • Adding to the excitement, this year's YRR introduces a new Parent-Child run category, inviting families to come together and show their support for second chances as one.
  • The public can also visit the Yellow Ribbon Project pop-up store at the Kallang Wave Mall Atrium, from 14 to 20 September 2026, to pick up delightful treats such as cookies, coffee, and baked goods, as well as explore an exhibition on rehabilitation and reintegration in support of second chances. Behind every item at the store lies a story of resilience and renewal — from inmate-made cookies and baked goods to coffee thoughtfully prepared by desistors, alongside works by inmate artists from the Visual Arts Hub (VAH) and/or the Arts Behind Bars (ABB) programmes. Visitors can also immerse themselves in a story exhibition that brings the journeys of transformation to life. More than a shopping experience, the pop-up store is an invitation to witness, and be inspired by, second chances in action.

What's New?

The Parent-Child Run is an 888m run for children aged 4 to 12 years old, accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Parent-Child Run will be held at the Great Eastern Promenade, a fully sheltered sports and recreational space around the National Stadium. This provides families with a comfortable, safe and meaningful way to take part in the Yellow Ribbon Run together.

Through this category, we aim to engage our younger generation and introduce them to the Yellow Ribbon Project’s message of second chances, inclusivity and community support.

Join us on 20 September for a day of exciting game booths, interactive activities and meaningful experiences at the Carnival at Yellow Ribbon Run.

Bring your family and friends and enjoy a range of engaging activities, including our Journey of Desistance exhibition, where you can learn more about rehabilitation, reintegration and the power of second chances.

Bonus: Win exclusive Yellow Ribbon Project collaterals when you participate in our Claw Machine activity!

From 14 to 20 September 2026 at Kallang Wave Mall Atrium, explore an immersive exhibition that brings to life the challenges, turning points and support systems that shape successful reintegration.

Through interactive experiences and inspiring stories, discover how individuals rebuild their lives—and how each of us can play a role in creating opportunities for second chances.

As part of the exhibition, visit the Yellow Ribbon Project Pop-Up Store, featuring cookies, coffee, baked goods and artworks created by inmates and desistors. More than a retail experience, it offers a tangible way to support second chances and witness stories of resilience in action.
